John is a British Master Upholsterer with over 35 years of experience, having worked extensively in the U.K. and internationally before establishing John Halpin Upholstery in Suffolk, U.K., in 2008.

Due to his exceptional workmanship, he has been invited to undertake numerous prestigious commissions, including the refurbishment of Harrods Tea Rooms in Knightsbridge, U.K., where his services were recognized by the London Mayor.

His passion for the craft of upholstery led him to spend a year in Asia leading the Tagsibol Foundation and teaching survivors of human trafficking valuable upholstery and sewing skills.

With over 25 years of experience, Liza has perfected her skills in soft furnishings across the U.K., Asia, and Australia.

She attended Central St. Martins Art School in London and earned a Diploma in Professional Curtain Making and Soft Furnishings from the National Design Academy in the U.K. In 1998, Liza established her first business in London, followed by ventures in Asia in 2012.

Her passion for sewing and empowering young vulnerable women led her to establish the Tagsibol Foundation providing skills training in 2015.

Her high-quality craftsmanship earned her recognition, winning the transitional furniture category at the Philippines International Furniture Show and collaborating with Roche Bobois to reimaging the iconic Mah Jong Sofa.
